Beacon and Berkeley Events Sources Kadeema Rentals for the Harvard Club Event

Kadeema Rentals had been selected as the preferred event rentals source for WIPA’s year end event at The Harvard Club in Boston. Kadeema was grateful to be chosen to sponsor The Harvard Club Event for WIPA this past December. It was an opportunity for us to include our 2023 items with inspirational pieces beginning with rental sofas, chairs, accents, side tables, and pillows. Our founder Kristen got to acknowledge during this special event that one of the rentals was from her dear grandmother. How proud would she be it was passed down to Kristen and now used at a special event at The Harvard Club as Kristen looks into 2024. Are you hosting a corporate event? Vintage Set of Chair Rentals Perfect for the Harvard Club Event

“My favorite from this event was the Grandmother’s dusty rose velvet chair. We’ve never used it at another event but it was my grandmother’s and I have such fond memories of spending holidays with her sitting in it as a place of honor. We also brought this chair as a set with ottomans into the Kadeema vintage collection to keep her memory alive as I know she’d love to be attending some of the fun parties and events these pieces get to be part of.”

Megan Gilliken of the Planners Vault with Boundaries and Burnout!

At the WIPA event in Boston, Kadeema had the pleasure of networking with other wedding professionals and enjoyed listening to their special guest speaker Megan, the founder of The Planner’s Vault. Megan is known for providing excellent wedding planner education, including courses, templates, coaching, and a community. During her presentation, she spoke about “Boundaries and Burnout,” and everyone found it helpful to learn some new strategies to avoid burnout in 2024. Megan also offered some free toolkit items, which Kadeema found valuable and plans to use going forward.

“Megan’s talk was like a wake up call to me truly. Every word she said felt like she knew exactly what I’ve been going through the last 3 event season/years. You can’t instantly change your habits but small steps toward the direction you want to go is the only way to start creating the right boundaries, putting forth the right communications to clients, and pacing ourselves in this busy world especially my current phase of life with two young kids and two businesses. She couldn’t have been more spot on and it was exactly what was needed not only for me but for all the event professionals in Boston.”

Wedding Professionals! Start 2024 with a Membership to WIPA’s Chapter in Boston

Earlier in 2008, two event professionals felt that the wedding industry needed a non-profit association that truly represents the industry and protects consumers. Thus, they created the Wedding International Professionals Association (WIPA). WIPA has grown from coast to coast and internationally since, setting new standards of ethics, education, association conduct, and dazzling meetings.

Meet WIPA’s Boston Chapter Board of Directors. These Board of Directors are esteemed professionals whose passion for our industry of Wedding Professionals and it is evident in the work they produce. Their presence in Boston will allow the growth of WIPA so we can continue to bring new standards, education and sense of community to all wedding professionals.

Certainly, we suggest that local wedding professionals join WIPA Boston for their Annual Winter Gala, which will take place on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 6:30 PM at the Four Seasons in Boston. Attending the event is a great way to become part of the wedding industry community in 2024. The ticket prices for members are $205, and for non-members, it’s $275. The registration will close on January 8.

Tell us about the Harvard Club and Favorite Kadeema Rental.

I love Kadeema’s variety in inventory. When designing this event, I knew I wanted to create an amazing focal around the fireplace- a gathering place for creatives to be inspired.  Kadeema’s team came up with a great lounge look that complemented the venue perfectly!! My favorite pieces were the little things that made such an impact on guests. The small drink tables that we scattered throughout the seating for our speaker were such a fun delight and the bookshelf drawers that held guests name tags were right on theme!

Tell us about your involvement with WIPA?

This will be my second year as the Director of Marketing & Communications for the WIPA Boston board and I was the planner for the November 2023 event.  After completing our first full year as a chapter and as a board, we are excited to focus on member benefits, increasing engagement with our members, and introducing a community service aspect- thanks to our new board member Robert Aveau (and photographer of November 2023 event).
