Q&A with Juliana Lorusso, General Manager of Lake Pearl

Tell us about your experience growing up with your family at Lake Pearl.

When I was young, I used to watch my grandfather’s passion for Lake Pearl. Attending events here, I knew I wanted to be involved when I grew older.

Witnessing people celebrating life’s moments at this place and knowing that I could play a part in making those moments happen excited me. At the time, it was frustrating, but the best thing my father did for me was to start me at the bottom and work my way up so I could experience every job that the staff members did. It allowed me to jump in and help out whenever needed, whether it was as a dishwasher, line cook, or waitstaff, because I had done every job they had done. I believe this makes me a strong leader who can lead by example.

In truth, the Lake Pearl family is not just the Lorusso family, but it includes every single person who works here. We all call this place home.

Tell us about your favorite rental addition to the Grand Opening of The Belvedere.

The aalto high boy cocktail tables and the wishbone bar stools were a beautiful upgrade that enhanced our outdoor cocktail space.

The oak parson table paired with mabel chairs is perfect for a modern and chic head table.

The custom lounge area we created featured the cap rattan daybed, sofa & chairs. We paired the furniture with the flute coffee table, side table, and boho pillows to create a comfortable custom look that our guests enjoyed.

What should planners know about booking a wedding or corporate event in 2025?

The Belvedere is sold in conjunction with our private beach and lake-front boat house – perfect for ceremonies and cocktail hours. The Belvedere has 4,000 square feet of flexible space and holds 220 guests with a dance floor. Featuring glass accordion doors that open up to the grounds, the Belvedere offers stunning views of Lake Pearl and gives the indoor-outdoor function style that wedding couples are looking for! We’re open for 2025 and 2026 bookings, and we offer a 10% package discount on Fridays & Sundays!
